Have you got a question about installing Sky Digital? Here are some of the questions (and answers) we are asked on a regular basis.


What is a standard installation?

A standard installation includes fitting and aligning the Digidish & wall brackets and up to 15 metres of high quality satellite cable to feed one TV in the house. For existing Sky customers the existing cable will be used wherever possible. The installer will ensure that the TV and VCR are tuned to receive the Sky programmes, activate the Sky card and give a demonstration on the main user features.

Can I choose which make of Sky box I want?

Future TV can usually supply the box of your choice. We will advise on the best box for your needs relating to the current offers.

I have a distribution box in the loft to supply the TV's throughout the house. Is it possible to have Sky on my other TV's?

Our installation engineers should be able to do this fairly easily but will need to quote you on a house to house basis.

All the dishes in my road are at the front of the house. Can mine be placed at the back of my property?

Probably, although it may incur additional costs for extra bracketry to raise the dish above the level of the guttering. As ever, there must be a clear line of sight to the satellite.

How can I check what my children are watching?

You can easily set up a PIN number to ensure your children do not watch movies you consider unsuitable. All movies are rated, and this will give you peace of mind that you are in control of what the family watches.
